Xi said that during President rahmon's visit to China in May this year, both sides jointly announced the establishment of china-tajikistan strategic partnership to push bilateral relations into a new stage of development. We should remain good friends, enhance mutual trust and support each other on issues concerning each other's core interests. We should continue to be good partners, conduct extensive mutually beneficial cooperation and bring benefits to our two peoples.
Xi hoped the two sides will speed up the construction of the d-line of the china-central Asia natural gas pipeline, expand cooperation in mineral development, agriculture and transportation infrastructure, and push for new breakthroughs in related projects. It is hoped that the defense, law enforcement and security departments of the two countries will promote cooperation in counter-terrorism, drug control and border control. The two sides should also strengthen cooperation within the framework of the Shanghai cooperation organization to achieve lasting peace and common development and prosperity in the region.
Rakhmon said tajikistan has high hopes for developing bilateral relations.
